Bones Ramen first opened on 17th January 2022. Head Ramen chef is Jacob Riwaka (ex-Rising Sun, Farmhouse head chef, also ex-Cornersmith) who developed a love for ramen across various trips to Japan as well as working at Rising Sun Workshop. During the lockdown of 2021, Jake started offering takeaway ramen specials at Farmhouse while he was still head-chef, and they would sell out every weekend. Those specials then found a permanent home across the road, now Bones Ramen. They don't really specialise in any one type of ramen, it's more just their own interpretation of ramen. They only ever have 4 ramen varieties available at any one time and like to change the offering based on seasonal availability.
